I just want to clarify about Bisnis Indonesia’s headline today saying that Indonesia’s gini coefficient is nearly 0.5. Actually, I never said “…nearly 0.5…”,
what I said was:
“…it would be dangerous if the gini coefficient is very high, lets say 0.5…”.
In fact, Indonesia’s gini coefficient is still 0.41, unchanged since 2011, you can check the data here.
